WormsThis installation was a homework assignment where we were supposed to make 100 objects out of clay using handbuilding techiques. We were to incorporate the idea of repitition and multiplicity in the work. I chose to draw inspiration from nature. While I was in a biology lab, looking at lake water under the microscope, I saw multiple worms and felt inspired to make my installation about them. Here you see 100 different worms, each with their own unique expression, colors and personality, while also being multiple of the same. |

Book-EndThe assignment for this project was to choose three books and design a set of book ends that was meant to encapsulate the books it held. I chose two books about donuts and confectionary baking, and one book about pigs. I chose the book about pigs because as a child I used to love pigs and I was given this book as a gift, I chose the other two books because of their similar color asthetic, and because they also followed the same theme of being things I was interested in when I was younger. This also plays on the fact that this period of my life was also when I read the most books, since Im not as passionate about reading anymore. |
TeapotsThis installation is made up of five different teapots. I chose to use mostly a white base with contrasting colors in order to make them stand out and highlight the shape of their figures. While the teapots are not very practical due to their small size, their main purpose is as art pieces to be displayed. There is no deep meaning to this project, the reason behind it was to practice wheel throwing teapots and artistic expirimentation |
