Background

My name is Van Quach. I was born in Vietnam and moved to Seattle when I turned 18 to pursue my dream of studying Computer Science. I chose North Seattle College as my starting point to achieve my goal. I completed my first degree with an Associate of Science in December 2023. Recently, I received a general admission to UW Tacoma in January, but I am still waiting for the acceptance decision from the SET department. In the meantime, I decided to pursue my second degree as a full-stack developer while waiting for the transfer to UW.

My Interest

I enjoy a variety of activities outside of my academic training such as drawing, working out, embroidering, and listening to music. I practiced yoga and pilates for two hours per day, or I went bouldering to become stronger and be able to do more complex poses. However, there are times when I don't feel like I have enough energy to do physical exercise, so I choose to draw or embroider instead, as it helps me focus on my inner peace. I am fascinated by the beauty of colors, so when I see my embroidery thread or watercolor, I just want to put on some music and enjoy the creative process.
