Da Nang
Da Nang, a coastal city in central Vietnam, is known for its sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. It’s a popular base for visiting the inland Bà Nà hills to the west of the city. The Hải Vân Pass, which crosses over a scenic mountainous stretch, is often referred to as the most beautiful road in Vietnam. Modern Da Nang offers everything from world-class resorts to street food and bustling markets, all within a short distance from the city's beaches.
Key attractions include the Marble Mountains, a cluster of five marble and limestone hills, and the Dragon Bridge, which breathes fire and water every weekend. The Museum of Cham Sculpture preserves artifacts from the ancient Kingdom of Champa, while the nearby My Khe Beach is known for its calm waters and long stretches of white sand, making it perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
