Milk Money Scents

Mission Statement

The name Milk Money comes from the pouch of quarters I brought to the lunchroom every day in elementary school: my milk money. Every day, I would take out my little pouch and buy a little carton of milk to go with my meal.

I started making candles when I was just 7 years old in the kitchen with my mom; I’ve committed my time since then to mastering the art of candlemaking. I’ve developed my craft over the years, experimenting with a variety of scents and cooling times. With every candle, I put a little bit of who I am into them: scents from my childhood are brought into a lasting form.

But Milk Money Scents is not just about candles; it’s about candles with a purpose. Giving back to our community is a big part of what we’re trying to do. Because of this, we’re pleased to donate a percentage of the money made by our website to Packs for Kids, a charity that works to feed food-insecure children in Seattle Public Schools.
